Jennifer Lopez & NBC Announce New Reality Dance Competition

Jennifer Lopez is giving you the chance to get on the floor — and win big money.

The pop superstar has teamed up with NBC for a new reality dance competition called "World of Dance," with the grand prize checking in at a whopping $1 million.

The "On The Floor" singer will serve as an executive producer for the series, which promises to pin elite dancers against each other in a wide range of difference dance styles including hip-hop, ballroom, ballet, and break dancing.

"This will be a fierce talent-heavy dance competition that embraces the raw emotion and excitement that dance represents," Lopez said in a statement.

It's currently unclear if Lopez, 46, will fill any on-air roles on the show, though she did appear in a promo for the newly announced series.

Auditions have already opened online, with hopefuls having the ability to apply for three different divisions based on their age. Contestants who make it to the actual show will be judged each episode by a panel of judges, which has not been named yet.

The new series, which does yet not have a premiere date, serves as Lopez's latest undertaking with the peacock network. She also stars on the police drama "Shades of Blue," which is set to return next year for its second season.
