Celine Dion's Husband About to Die: Celine Breaks Vegas Show to Spend Last Moment with Him

Celine Dion has one wish for the holidays…a final Christmas with her dying husband, Rene Angelil. The ‘I’m Alive’ singer is taking another break from her Vegas show to be by Rene’s side, as Angelil spends his final moments in her loving arms.

Celine Dion managed to create a powerful and moving tribute to Paris at the 2015 American Music Awards Sunday. Dion sang Edith Piaf’s Hymne a l’Amour at the event following the cowardly attacks. Several audience members wept as Celine uplifted spirits and paid tribute to the 130 victims. However, Dion is also battling her own war with her husband.

The day after Celine’s moving homage to Paris, she returned to doting upon Rene and came to realize, this will be the last Christmas she will get to spend with Angelil.

A friend told Closer Weekly, “Celine is trying to make the most of whatever time they have left with Rene.” To make sure Celine and her family soaks up every moment of the holiday season, Dion has decided to take another break from her Vegas show to spend Rene Angelil’s final Christmas with his family – Celine Dion, Nelson Angelil, and twins Eddy and Rene-Charles Angelil.

Together, the family will attempt to forget about the cancer battle and enjoy festive moments together. “Celine is hopeful by nature. She puts her trust in her faith,” the family friend added.

Celine is doing her best to be positive and happy during the difficult time of letting go of her husband and father to her children. “She won’t allow the house to descend into gloom and doom. She does her best to fill her boys’ lives with fun and excitement,” the insider explained. “But I also think every day has become more meaningful to them given what the family is going through.’

Celine Dion currently plans to return to her Las Vegas show at Caesars Palace on December 30. Until then, Dion will spend her final Christmas with her dying husband, the lovely Rene Angelil, and their children.
